Growl not giving notifying me with Skype since update

Hi I am currently running Growl 1.2.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, I have
Safari 5.0.5, and am using Skype 5.1.0.968.
The problem is that I do not receive all of my notifications like I
used to prior to updating Skype. I do get the odd one here and there
when people sign in but very rarely.
This is very inconvenient, anyone know if there is a solution?

this is most likely to do with skype changing what they send growl, and so something you'd have to take up with them.
however, there are a couple things you can check:
1) in skype's preferences, go to the notifications tab, and ensure that as many of the events have the Display notification option checked. (I can't enable that many for whatever reason. I guess this is what you were after, in which case, I'm afraid you're going to have to go to the skype people.)
2) in the Growl PreferencePane, go to applications tab, select skype, configure, and check that the notifications are enabled in there.

Hey Josh, thanks for your response. Yeah I have checked both the Skype
and Growl settings and as far as I can see both should be
communicating between each other pretty clearly.
I have just uninstalled and reinstalled Growl to see if this makes any
difference, I am yet to find out. If not over to Skype!
