Very strange. It looks like you are running Windows 7, is that correct? Do you know if you have any service packs or anything installed as well? Do you know what versions of .NET you have installed?

 

I have not seen that issue before nor heard of anyone experiencing anything similar. I will have to think about it a bit to see what I can come up with.

I just installed Growl. (then reinstalled it after having this issue.)

I open Growl. I get the notification that it's running. I double click on the icon in the system tray, and the icon appears in the task bar. But no window appears. I click the task bar icon. Nothing. 

When I hover over the icon, I get this: http://i.imgur.com/YkP9CkQ.png

However, I can't find anyway to bring that window into view. SO it would appear I'm unable to alter any and all settings in Growl. Help?

If it's doing what it looks like it is a problem I've had quite often with several apps including growl :)

Try clicking on the button in the taskbar then press ALT+space and you should see a menu pop up on the screen with the options to resize, minimize, and move the window (along with a few others) use the arrow down key to select Move and press enter. Then use the arrow keys and you should see a box outlined on the screen. When then outline shows a complete outline press enter and the settings window should then appear where the outline was :)
