Hi all!

I've downloaded and installed Growl 2.0.7.2. However, there's no apps
under Application. I rebooted and tried reinstalling it, but still
nothing comes through notification. I'm using Windows 7 SP1. Can
anyone help?

Thank you!

Growl doesnt create notifications of its own. Other programs tell
Growl to show a notification when they have something they want to
notify you about. So the application itself has to support Growl in
order for it to show notifications. Also, applications can register at
various times, but most register when you first launch them. So step 1
is to figure out which apps you would like to get notifications from.
A bunch are listed here: http://www.growlforwindows.com/gfw/apps.aspx
- note that some of those apps require an additional plugin or script
or helper app to add the Growl functionality. So if the apps you want
to use require those additional programs, you have to install them
first.

Once you have your application and any plugins/extensions/etc
installed, make sure Growl is running and then simply launch the
application and it should register itself. If the application doesnt
support Growl or you dont have the necessary plugins/etc installed,
then there is nothing you can do to force the application to register
and work with Growl.

Let me know if you need any more help, or which applications in
particular you are trying to use with Growl.

Hi!

Ok, now it worked! I downloaded the Itunes app and it registered and
notified me of the currently playing song! This is awesome.

Thanks!
