Growl is still being developed. There have not been any updates for quite awhile, but Windows 8 is the next big item on the list. I have a dev version that can show Growl notifications using the built-in toast notifications, but I am working on trying to capture other apps’ notifications to funnel through Growl as well.

That's awesome news Brian. Sounds like exactly what I was hoping for with support for Win 8. Can you please also let us know whether there is (or will be in a future update..) a way to route things like Chrome HTML notifications (Gmail and Calendar notifications mainly) through Growl? It looks like there used to be a Chrome extension for this very purpose, but its no longer available.

It would also be possible to extend the compatibility of Growl with a greater number of programs in general, for any Windows version?

Hi All,
I am looking for a tool that can make the alerts we send to our users in SCCM (using the Software Centre client app) more visible.
I've installed the current version of Growl on my Windows7 PC (We do not use windows 8) and was wondering if this was something anyone had looked into?

Thanks,
Danny
