I don't have Growl on my Macbook but a fresh copy of the plugin that I just compiled seemed to be working.

You will need to uncomment the second ARCH line in gntp-send/Makefile to get it to work.

The problems seems to be related to

so a recompile should be all that is needed.

which _was_ working for me on OS X at some point, now does not.  The console provides the following:

Is this plugin open source? If so I'm sure someone would fix this issue, I would be interested in looking into it at some point as I understand OS X is likely not the developer's primary concern.

Thanks much for the response.  I was able to compile the code successfully, but it seems to build a Firefox plugin.  Good to know that most of the functionality is in open-land though.

Chrome , Safari and Firefox all support Netscape style NPAPI plugins. Just put a copy of the *.plugin directory in your accounts Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ directory.

Oh cool, thanks for the help.

I moved the plugin to `/Users/colin/Library/Internet Plug-Ins`, and it now shows up in chrome://plugins/, which seems like a good thing, but I cannot see any other change.  The default Chrome notifications still pop up.
