First Mac, First Growl

no one else besides me probably cares, but i wanted to post up anyway.

the fedex lady just delivered me a shiny new Mac Mini - my first Mac
ever. i have actually only used a Mac for a grand total of about 5
minutes prior to this, so it is a pretty new experience for me.

the first app i installed was Growl, and after allowing network
notifications, i set my PC to forward to the Mini and hit play in
iTunes - up popped a Growl notification on both machines - probably a
totally mundane experience to every normal person, but it made me
quite happy.

anyway, i have lots of poking around on the Mini to do, but my next
project is to get XCode installed and get the Growl source compiling.
I guess this post is just to say thanks for turning me on to Growl in
the first place.
