Subject: Can you help with the mobile food pantry this Friday from 5:00-6:30?

Hi GROW,Below is a message from Naji Umran, our minister of outreach at COS.
We are looking for some people who could help with our mobile food pantry
ministry, which happens twice a month (usually on Saturday mornings, but
occasionally other times). This Friday night, May 9, from about
5:00pm-6:30pm we'll be distributing food at Camelot Woods apartments (across
the street from COS). Please respond to me or to Naji if you're able to help
out. The mobile food pantry, along with the food and clothing pantry at
church, is a great way to get to know and serve our neighbors.
peace, Jessica

Dear friends in GROW!

I'm feeling a bit stressed and in need of help with running our pantry this
week, we could still use about 8 more volunteers.
It's a fun service event we do twice each month that really helps a lot of
needy people in our neighborhood. If you're available to help this Friday,
May 9, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Camelot Woods, please let me know ASAP.
I'll send a second email as soon as we have enough volunteers.

Thanks so much--grace and peace to you this Pentecost Weekend.
In Christ,
Naji Umran

P.S. Have a great time at the zoo this Saturday!

P.P.S. The mobile food pantry is held in the parking lot of the Camelot
Woods community building, 2339 Rowland Ave SE. (Rowland runs south off of
Burton about a block west of the Church of the Servant). The trailer of food
from Second Harvest Gleaners will arrive at 5:00pm. From then until about
5:30 we will unload the trailer and repackage food. I have a supply of
plastic bags, food handling gloves, work gloves, a box knife, first aid
kit--please ask if you need anything. I also have a key to the community
building if you need to wash up or use the rest room. We should be finished
distributing food to about 100 neighborhood families by 6:30pm.
