I have a very exciting announcement to make. After receiving your
wonderful feedback about how we can improve the "Alerts and Updates"
subgroup, we've decided to add a feature to this help group which
should benefit all of you!

In the next few days, I'll be launching a pages section for this help
group, just like the pages section found on your own Groups. I heard
from many of you that you wanted an FAQ page and a page which lists
other product's Help Centers and help Groups. This is why our team
thinks that a pages section would be a great addition!

Here are some initial pages which I'll be launching. The very first
page will outline the purpose of this new pages section. This page
will lay out the behavior expected out of all of you as well as the
role of the guides in this section.

Next, I'll create a page with a list of other product's Help Centers
and help groups so that all users of this group can have this as a
reference point. Finally, I'd like to put up the wonderful FAQ page
which Tomi Häsä created. I'd like all of you to continue to build upon
this page and make it another great resource for users who need basic
questions answered. This page could expand into many great things!

After those three initial pages, I'll make my grand exit and the pages
section is yours! I think that all of you will enjoy collaborating on
creating content with the overall purpose of helping spread
information about the Google Groups product.

Please look out for the first page which will lay out the ground rules
for the pages section. As mentioned before, this will happen in the
next few days, and I'll be sure to post something to this "Groups
Alerts and Updates" section when it's launched!

Finally, there were many great suggestions, beyond what I've mentioned
already, for improving the "Groups Alerts and Updates" section. What
we'll strive to do going forward is report issues as quickly as
possible and provide as much background information as we can. If we
feel that there are so many issues and they may be confused, we'll
designate each one a name so you can keep track. Also, I understood
from your responses that you'd like to know about any features we may
be working on. It goes against our policy to discuss specifics, but I
think that acknowledging the great ideas you all have is very
important! GGG1 and I will continue to do that.
