Morning Y'all:
    Spring has sprung and it is time to for the first GRITS ride of the year. Claude and I will host the ride from our house on Sunday April 10th.  If there is enough interested we will have a cook-out after wards.

Please RSVP by Thursday so we can plan for a cookout.

Where: Smith's and Claude's house 10708 Cambium Ct. Raleigh, NC 27613  847-8437
Distance: ~30 mile and ~50 miles.

Hey All gritters- Up here in Rottenchester (at least during some of the winter it seems like that) our cycling season has just gotten underway. This was the third weekend of scheduled rides for the Rochester Bicycling Club. Our first tandem specific ride will be at the end of Apr. Maybe by then I won't be so slow... My stoker had her first ride of the year today on her single. At this rate we'll be flying by July!

 

I'm organizing the Monroe Country Ride of Silence this year. The second one done, last year 22 of us rode it after only 2 weeks notice. I expect many more this time around. I've already had to play "hardball" (well not really, just had to assert myself more then I like to do) with the local cycling advocate group about their bike week ride a week later.

 

BTW I'm nearly hairless now. Attached is a photo of last weekend's St baldrick's result. I raised over $1100 towards child cancer research. Take care. Andy.

Sorry for the late reply.  We are still trying to work out our weekend schedule.  Saturday is booked and Sunday may need to be dedicated to lawn work, etc. We’ll be out of town Tues – Sun.  We’ll see if we can get Sunday freed up and join you all for the ride.
