Subject: Small town boy makes good
At the risk of being sent unsavory emails, I would like to update some
information I passed on a couple months ago.  I did get a positive
email from Dr. Raney, which was nice.  Thank You.

My grandson, Chris Poulson, "the kid that went to Sultan Middle School
his 7th and 1/2 his 8th grade years",
you remember, the loser kid with the "lip ring, ear ring and of course
the Weird clothes, that was "labeled" by many "outstanding citizens" in
the community as a THUG, GANG MEMBER ?????

Well, here is the update:  Chris and the band have been playing many
shows throughout the Los Angeles area which includes Riverside County,
Orange County and Los Angeles County.  Last Sunday night the 7th, they
played a show at the Showcase Theater in Corona, CA.  So happens a
music scout was there that evening and has contacted them to see if he
could come out to their next show, which is this evening the 10th in
Riverside.  They are playing a special "Birthday Party" show.

The fellow that is coming out wants to talk to them "the band" about a
record deal, as he liked their music.  Now, watch it, they are a PUNK
band and I know some of you would not like the music, but, that is
okay.  That is the nice part of America, we can all have our own likes
and dislikes.

To the fellow that emailed me and said there would be no way Chris
would EVER work for him "because of the way he looks", I would just
like to say, "he probably will not need the job".  Nor, because of your
attitude, I doubt he would be interested in working for you anyway.  He
likes positive people that do not judge.

To Greg Norgard I again say Thank You for believing in Chris.  You
taught him for a year, and taught him well.  Chris also thanks you.
You had patience with him and you worked with him and he wasn't even
wearing NIKE'S.

So, I guess the morale of the story is, "there is always a reason for
everything in life".  Chris stopped off in Sultan long enough to find
his passion and the love of his life.  MUSIC.

Oh, and, no, he don't drink, do drugs or smoke.  He gets "high" on his
music.

I do miss a lot of people in Sultan and send you my best.  I met some
awesome people.  Those of which I will not soon forget.

Thank you.

What do you want? what is your angle? Are you implying that Sultan is
full of biggots?

Congratulations to Chris, but you need to get off whatever it is that
makes you think you are so great and people in town so terrible.  You
never had the cajones to reply after your first whining post. Why post
the same drivel again... a simple "Chris is getting scouted out for his
talent and is doing well would be just fine."

No need to beat this diatribe to death. Chris is what he is because he
is a tough kid that has thick skin and an uncanny ability to recover
from the bumps WE ALL face in life. (evidently some can get over things
easier than others)...

Move on, Support Chris in his endeavors. Stop coming here and
badmouthing everyone acting like you are so superior, when in fact you
are dumping your dirty laundry on the town and doing exactly what you
accuse everyone else of doing.

PLEASE get a life.. for the sake of Chris and everyone elses sanity...
Search deep for a glass that is half full.
