DIY-Greenwood Alley Makeover Today
Jim Jackson and a bunch of his neighbors that share the alley between Dayton
and Phinney 95th to 97th are collaborating on a project with FeetFirst to
improve the conditions of their shared alley today. (more info in
attachment)
As our workshops mention, improving alley conditions is an important step
toward sidewalks. Nearly every block in our study area has an alley, some
more visible than others :-). Improving the alley not only encourages more
neighbors to use their alley for parking, but it puts more eyes on the alley
and can establish or strengthen relationships between neighbors that share
the alley.
Best of all, though, is that the alley then becomes a better place to walk.
Stop by and check out their project.

Kate,
This is a little project that sorta came together while playing fetch with
my dog in the alley.
I mentioned it to Lisa, and she decided to put it "out there". Do you want
to add it to "the blog"?
