In a recently unsealed federal affidavit, an FBI agent said that
former Byram Pharmacy owner and pharmacist Joby George sold large
amounts of oxycontin to several Connecticut men without valid
prescriptions, looking the other way as they resold the drugs on the
street and profiting from the cash exchange.

The release of the records outlines a scheme comprising four men who
would provide fraudulent prescriptions to the pharmacy while George
pocketed the cash for the illegal transaction and billed the insurance
company of unassuming customers, according to the affidavit. The
emerging details come seven months after the now defunct pharmacy was
raided by the FBI, leading to George's arrest.

George's lawyer said his client was duped and is only guilty of
insurance fraud.

Court records identify the men involved in the prescription fraud
scheme as Thomas Meyerholz, 39, of 20 Raccio Drive, in Bethany; Bret
Zielanski, 35, of 109 Concord Street, in Hamden; Christopher Beauton,
50, of 20 Raccio Drive, in Bethany; and David Deloughery, 41, of East
Haven.......

COMMENT:

Who's names did he use to claim for the insurance?

Was it yours?

Doesn't sound right to me, someone's names were on the prescription
along with their insurance info.

So I guess he doesn't know these out of towners that he gave the
oxycontin to, but he's guilty of insurance fraud?
Yeah.....okay!

There is much more to this story.
