Dear Friends,
As always we would love to see you at any of the events below. Tonight, Green Wheels will be rallying on the Plaza before heading out for a beautiful Arts!Arcata bike ride. The Arcata Eye caught us in action last month with an excellent turnout of new and current greenwheelers. Also, you can make public comment next week for bike and ped. infrastructure or show how much a clean 101 means to you by getting out there and cleaning it up.

TONIGHT! Community Bike Ride
Friday, Sept. 11th, 6:00p.m., The Plaza
Green Wheels will be hosting another community bike ride this Friday, September 11th at 6pm starting from the middle of the Arcata Plaza. Come out and mingle with your fellow greenwheelers and community members for this family-friendly ride through town and the Bottoms. We had quite a crowd for last month's ride so you won't want to miss out on the fun. Bring a bike, helmet, and friends!
CAFF Soiree, Bike There!
Sun., Sept. 13th, 3:00p.m., Redwood Roots Farm
The taste of place garden soiree is the Local Food Month kick off event, benefiting the Farm to School program. Enjoy garden tours, local hor d’oeuvres, wine, beer and music. Green Wheels will be there to check your bike at the bike valet, so, BIKE THERE!
Arcata Transportation Safety Committee Meeting
Tues., Sept. 15th, 4:30p.m., Arcata City Hall Council Chambers
The Arcata Transportation Safety Committee will meet to discuss the pedestrian and Bicycle Plan Update, and bicycle boulevards on I and 10th Streets amongst other items.
Cyclists for Clean Roads Event
Sat., Sept. 19th, 9:00a.m., Meeting at Starbucks
In conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday September 19 2009, Cyclists for Clean Roads will be cleaning up the segment of northbound Highway 101 between Central and Hiller Roads.
