Subject: onions
Anyone have any tips growing onions hydroponically.??. using clay
balls.
Its a 5/6 month growing season, just wondering what ec,  nutrient mix
to use when.

DWC  is about the best way...or a suspended NFT.  Onions like a higher than
usual N level and do very !! well in hydro. Just make sure that only your
onion roots make contact with the nutes.

Im a PH based hydro guy.  Pretty well  General Hydroponic nutes only.
For mature plants I use a general formula of  8ml of  Micro per res gallon
and 16ml of Bloom.  I dont use  Grow,  its been long proven that healthy
plants do not need it.

For onions Id start the res around 5.4...let it drift up to around 6.4/6.5
and then settle around 5.8.

You will sure cut your crop time with hydro too.
