Seasonal, Temporary or Work Only When Needed (WOWN) Extension Employment Opportunities

Position Title - 4-H Intern and Seasonal (2 positions available)

Position Location/Territory - Little Rock State Office - 4-H Youth Development

Salary/Wage Rate - $7.25 - $11.00 per hour depending on experience

Vacancy Number - NBPIS1

Date - April 12, 2012

Date Position Available - May 14, 2012

Qualifications

  • Completion of one semester of college or equivalent at the time of application preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) required.
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry, word processing, and other computer functions required.
  • Availability during entire employment period required.
  • Previous participation in 4-H or other youth organization desirable; however, not participating as a 4-H member during the employment period strongly preferred.
  • Ability to assist with loading, unloading and carting of educational materials.
  • Must pass Youth Protection Clearance.

Nature of Position

  • Temporary Position - May 14 - August 3, 2012.
  • Some weekend, evening, and overnight trip work required.
  • Works in the development, implementation and evaluation of 4-H youth educational programs from the State Office of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service.
  • Will assist faculty with the preparation, hauling and set-up of educational materials and exhibits and activity materials.

Reports to:

Works under the supervision of the Extension 4-H Youth Development faculty.
