Announcing the 2012 Business
Accelerator & Competition
The one-of-a-kind Cleantech Open Accelerator & Competition is
now accepting applications for our 2012 program. The Accelerator
turns cleantech ideas into reality by offering deep mentoring, skills
training, business clinics, access to investors and capital,
opportunities to showcase to the media and the public, and a
chance to enter the competition itself.

Since its inception in 2006, the Cleantech Open has awarded over
$5M in cash and services to support cleantech startups. The 581
companies that have participated in the Cleantech Open have
raised more than $660 million in external capital. Have a brilliant
cleantech idea? Know someone with a brilliant cleantech idea?
The Cleantech Open can turn it into a thriving business. Entries
must be submitted by May 8, 2012.

Early bird deadline is April 3.
Regional Headline
During the region's inaugural year, 19 clean tech companies registered to participate in the 2011 Cleantech Open Accelerator program. Out of the 19, 11 companies were chosen to move forward as semifinalists. Our regional finalists went on to the National competition. For the regional mentors and the South Central region staff, they were all winners.

Companies that registered for the 2011 Accelerator and were not
chosen as semifinalists may re-register for the 2012 program. 2011 Sustainability and Regional Winners may re-enter unless
they were National Winners.

Sara Mitran is the first Regional Director for the Cleantech Open South Central region. The region includes Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

We look forward to a new year of opportunities for more cleantech
companies. We are ready and able to meet your needs.

Launch Party at NASA Ames - March 23rd
