Please forward this email to Great Plains Cycling Club and Paramount if possible.  It will be essential to test out the temporary left side bicycle lanes and send comments to all Fargo City Commissioners based on your experiences in these left side bicycle lanes.  Please cc me on your comments.  You do not have to be a Fargo resident to send comments to the Fargo City Commissioners.

Thanks for your help.

All – My Traffic Engineering guys will be putting down temporary tape at the locations attached in the PDF this week.  When you drive 10th and University over the course of the next few weeks, you can get a feeling of how a left side bike lane would feel on the street.  I think this will clearly show how much room we have to play with.

Gents – I’ve attached what I’d like to see done as far as these temp skips are concerned along 10th St and University for the bike lanes.  I think the skips should be 2’ long.  We’ll do the inside bike lane marking, the outside buffered bike lane marking, and the centerline skip, making a total of 3 temp skips per spot.  If you can get this done this week, that would be great.  Let me know if you have any questions.
