I have updated firefox to 3.5.3 and greasemonkey to 0.8.20090920.2 and
several things have happened.
My scripts do not run any more, a simple script like hello world in an
alert box does not fuinction.
I can't add scripts by dragging them into manage user scripts control.

Is there some king of incompatibility at this point?

I have tried so far to:

uninstall greasemonkey and install it back - no change

uninstall firefox and reinstall all environment - no change

Thank you

From Firefox About:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/
20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

From MSINFO32:
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

System Manufacturer Dell Inc.
System Model Latitude D630
System Type X86-based PC
Processor x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~2194 Mhz
BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A13, 28-07-2008
SMBIOS Version 2.4

Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp.
080413-2111)"

Greasemonkey:
0.8.20090920.2

Problem was first detected after updating Firefox and Greasemonkey
(almost simultaneously) add consist on:

My scripts do not run any more, a simple script like hello world in an
alert box does not fuinction.
I can't add scripts by dragging them into manage user scripts control.

No errors are shown in the console.
Also Firebug didn't even detected the user script execution. Thus no
errors reported to firebug console.

Tried starting from scratch, meaning that even with blank profile the
problem persists

No,

Greasemonkey folks havent provided an answer. They didn't even
acknowlledge the problem... Just wainting for a new release of either
firefox or greasemonkey.

That is incorrect. The problem is that "it doesn't work" does not help
us fix the problem, because for us it does work. We need to know why it
doesn't work, for you. Please visit the issue tracker and provide the
details requested there:
