Hello everyone I am having trouble installing any js into firefox and
the contextual menus seen here

http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/using.html

dont even exist. When I right click a script js there is no option to
install user script, plus i dont even have the install user scripts
option under tools. I installed greasemonkey several times and
restarted firefox each time with no avail.

I am using firefox 3.5.3

Please help! Thank you

Also I wanted to add that in firefox's addon window and i have
greasemonkey selected, clicking options makes my add-ons window
unresponsive and if i try to click anything windows just pings at me

Wow, good job finding that ;-) It's actually a very old page. The
current documentation is:
http://wiki.greasespot.net/Greasemonkey_Manual:Installing_Scripts

hmm there isnt really any new info on that page for my problem, i
think..

so when im on userscripts.org and i try to click 'install' it just
views the javascript as text and i never get the popout dialogue from
greasemonkey. Do i have to change the way my computer handles .js
files or..? Im on Vista btw

Is greasemonkey enabled? If not, the monkey in the firefox status bar
will appear greyed out. If its enabled the install dialog should pop
up automatically when you navigate to the script. If you see script
source when you click it greasemonkey is disabled. You cannot enable/
disable greasemonkey from the manage user scripts/addon preferences
window where the enable checkbox only disables a particular script,
you must enable greasemonkey via one of the menu options for
installation to occur.

Check the Extensions again, to make sure that it's listed. If it is, try
uninstalling it first, restarting Firefox, then installing again.
