greasmonkey face icon is dimmed on the upper right of ff18

greasmonkey icon is dimmed on upper right side of my ff 18.
it does not present dialog box when istalling scripts from userscripts.org.
when i install a scripts from userscripts.org.it opens a file in my firefox 18 browser which is a javascript file.i dont know how to install it. i was supposed to receive an installation dialog box just as it did before.but now its not doing it.
please help me to enable it so that i can install scripts just as i did before.any help would be highly appreciated..
