Subject: greasekit 1.7 not working in Safari 4.0.3 at OS X 10.5.8
Hi, I have just updated Greasekit 1.6 to 1.7. Since version 1.6 works
pretty well, I'm quite wondering why version 1.7 cannnot work
properly. I followed instruction as described (and same as 1.6) but
never to see Greasemonkey menu. Any suggestion will be welcome and be
appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem here. Greasekit version is 1.7 and SIMBL
version is 0.8.2 and Safari version is 4.0.3 and OS X 10.5.8. Hope
someone can provide the solution soon. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem, also.  OS X 10.5.8, Safari 4.0.3, SIMBL 0.8.2
and Greasekit 1.7.  The Greasekit menu won't appear in Safari's menu
panel.

I recompiled it in Xcode 3.1.4 under Leopard, seems works fine.
I suggest you compile it yourself,
or download the one I compiled

Same situation here.

OS X: 10.5.8
Safari: 4.0.3 (build 5531.9)
SIMBL: 0.8.2
GreaseKit: 1.7

I have two Macs.
The PowerPC one works perfectly.
But the intel-Mac just doesn't show GreaseKit in menubar.

The recompiled version by Du Dong works like a charm!
Many thanks, Du Song :)

I don't see the menu showing up either. I did replace with the
recompiled version of GreaseKit, but still don't see anything. I
wonder if my installation of SIMBL is not working. I suppose I should
see a separate menu for Greasekit...

Any help would be appreciated..

Greasekit version is 1.7 and SIMBL
version is 0.8.2 and Safari version is 4.0.3 and OS X 10.5.8

Bob

I'm having the same problem (sortof). The recompiled version DID get
GreaseKit to show up in my menu, but some of the plugins aren't doing
anything...

These are the plugins I tried-

"Download YouTube Videos as MP4" - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/16341
-   didn't work

"Google Account Multi-Login"  - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/16341
- didn't work

"Greased Lightbox" -  http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3400   -
worked

"Remove All Facebook Ads" - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/13787
- worked

Maybe this is just cuz it's safari and not firefox. But considering
the weirdness with installation, I'm thinking maybe this is tied to
that. Any thoughts?

Using the recompiled version fixed the problem for me as well. Thanks
Du Song.
