William Britt is the Founder/Director of the Association of Patient
Advocates. He has over nine years of experience working for non-profit
volunteer organizations; five of those years have been in management
positions. As a community activist Mr. Britt has made deep inroads
into the local health care community.

"Early in 1998 I formed the A.P.A., a grass roots organization to
assist people with disabilities and/or chronic illness, to gain access
to healthcare information and services. The APA also strives to work
with health care providers to improve services and include patients in
healthcare policy decisions." "We hope to improve lives and
services through patient empowerment".

As a medical cannabis patient and activist, he has attended hundreds of
court hearings to support qualified patients who have been dragged
through the court system by police and judges who continue to ignore
the state law. His Medical Marijuana has been discovered and returned
by sheriff's deputies 46 times as he enters courts and county
buildings from San Diego to Ventura County. In the last 10 years spent
as a MMj activist he has never been arrested and only once had his
medicine confiscated. (He is currently fighting that seizure in Orange
County).

He has spent many hours providing peer counseling to patients and has
volunteered as an activist, spokesperson and community liaison for
medical cannabis collectives and dispensaries.

Over the last nine years, he has also spoke at numerous community and
healthcare provider meetings in southern California, working to educate
healthcare professionals, law enforcement officials and local
politicians on Prop 214, SB 420 and the benefits of medicinal cannabis.
He recently spoke at the Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics
in Santa Barbara on April 8.

Following is a few of the organizations he is currently volunteering
with:

Police and Politicians, and was arrested in Wash. DC HHS Bldg 10/5/04
in protest of Mj Scheduling as "No Medical Value")
