123D  Catch claims to make point clouds from multiple images, to create 3d models. I have not tried it yet, but will certainly give it a go when I get a chance this summer. Thoughts?

It's not bad at all, but somehow i prefer bundler-pmvs workflows. Plus meshlab for cleaning, making cmeshes and scaling.

Using 123D, can I export to useful formats? Which can then be read by other software?

Thanks,

As I mentioned, I have not tried this yet, but I have a hard time imagining autodesk would create a program that only lived in a box, with nothing useful coming out. They are all about application, so I'd expect so!

I can't make it be better than Photosynth which I hoped it would be.
