With dwindling resources at traditional media, I knew that many at-risk communities throughout the country were being neglected, so I dispatched reporters to a handful of them to take a look. In this series, we examined seven places facing different environmental risks. The stories we heard are very powerful, and they resonate with all of us, no matter what color or class.
