I was hoping someone could explain a routing behavior to me. Suppose I
want a route between A and B, and there are no buses/trains. If the
walking reluctance is set at 1, I get a walking route directly from A
to B that takes 5 minutes. However, if I set the walking reluctance
to .001, I get a walking route that wanders all over the place before
arriving at B and takes 45 minutes.
I understand that setting the walking reluctance so low would cause
the route to avoid buses, but why does it select a route that takes
more time? Does it have anything to do with "slog"?
