Intro to Java :- Checklist

Good afternoon everyone,

If you are planning to attend the next GR-JUG meeting, Intro to Java,
here is a checklist of things that you can do in order to be prepared.

Install Java (JDK)
============
If you have not already, please take the time to install Java on your
machine. You can install Java from this site:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Looks like the most stable recent release is JDK6 Update 6. This will
be sufficient for our purposes on Thursday.

Download Eclipse
=============
If you have not done so, please take the time to download Eclipse.
You can download Eclipse from this site:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

There are many different versions of Eclipse that you can choose to
download. Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, should be sufficient. I
personally have installed Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers. It is a
little bit of a bigger download, but I would recommend it. Once
again, the Eclipse IDE for Java Developers will be adequate for our
purposes.

This is a collection of the plugins and extensions that I use for
Software Development. We will get into more detail about what is
contained within here during our meeting.
