When loading gqueues mobile in firefox 9.0.1 I get "Sorry, but the
browser on this device does not support the offline functionality
required."

Can this possibly be true? I feel I'm doing something wrong. Thanks
for any help you can provide.

If on mobile, you need a different
Browser

Yes, GQueues Mobile doesn't work in Firefox (desktop or mobile version of the browser), because it doesn't support the kind of local database needed to provide offline functionality.

If you want to use GQueues Mobile on your desktop computer you'll probably want to use Chrome as your browser.

I love Gqueues, even with it's limitations that others overcome,
because it shines where they don't.

The gadget/sidebar concept is one of the couple major things I miss
from Nozbe... you can put their mobile gadget in any web frame.

With Gqueues the gadget that works everywhere only shows calendar
events. :-(

To suggest a solution by saying 'use Chrome' is tough to swallow.
But, I do get it. I run into the same problem on my Android phone.
Being a Gqueues user limits our choice of compatible browsers and we
deal with it. However, Chrome desktop doesn't have the concept of an
always open sidebar like Firefox or IE and I'd love queues open all
day long, staring me in the face when I get off track randomly
browsing the web.

Is there a chance the mobile version can be modified to allow use
without the database if the browser is online? Just a thought.

Thanks for the response.

Jeremy

If I just built out the Calendar / iGoogle gadget so you can choose which queues to view (and see all tasks from that queue instead of just ones with dates), would that help?

It would help me... I think that's a great idea.

So what's the current status - sidebar or no sidebar? I stopped using Gqueues at the time because of that limitation.
