to GQueues
In January 2009 GQueues Beta launched as, what most would call, a
"bare-bones" list-making web app, that only a few people even knew
about. Back then, about the only thing you could do was drag and drop
tasks to reorder them. Over the last 15 months the GQueues community
has grown quite large, and with your feedback and ideas, GQueues has
become a full-fledged task manager. Sharing, Smart Queues, Google
Calendar integration, notes, reminders, Google Apps login, tagging,
subtasks, export and assignments were all features suggested by users
on this discussion forum!

As with all beta products, the goal of GQueues Beta was to eventually
develop into a mature service that offers real value to people and has
a sustainable business model to ensure its longevity. Soon GQueues
Beta will be replaced by two new products: GQueues Lite (free) and
GQueues ($25 / year). People who want the complete set of features
for GQueues should purchase a subscription. Specifically, these four
currently available features will soon only be available in the full
version of GQueues:

* Google Calendar integration
* Reminders
* Sharing (collaboration mode)
* Assignments

When the beta period ends (in the next week or so) everyone who is
currently a beta user will automatically get a 2-week free trial of
the full version of GQueues. After the free trial, if you decide not
to subscribe to GQueues your account will switch over to GQueues Lite
which you can use free of charge (forever), and which, in actuality,
has a pretty hefty feature set in and of itself.

Everyone who has participated on the forum has provided tremendous
feedback and suggestions.  To show my appreciation, I am offering an
extra month free to any beta user who subscribes to GQueues during the
first two weeks.

And while the beta period is ending, new development is certainly NOT!
 There are many improvements still to make and I will continue to
listen to feedback from the community as GQueues continues to grow.

Awesome, Cameron. I hope it's successful for you now in generating a
profit, and that you make a mint when Google buys you out... which
they should if they know what's good for them.

Let's say I buy the $25 subscription, but my friend DOES NOT.
How does sharing work? One-way sharing (which way)? No sharing at all?

Thanks

Nathan,

GQueues Lite provides sharing functionality in read-only mode.  The full version of GQueues allows you to share in either read-only mode or collaboration mode.  If you have the full version of GQueues and share a queue in collaboration mode, but the person you shared it with only has Lite, then they will only be able to view the queue (not edit it).  You must have the full version of GQueues to both share a queue in collaboration mode with others, and collaborate with others who have shared a queue with you.
