Nancy G. Faget has taken charge to put together a book co-authored by
attendees of the camp that would capture some of the content and
lessons learned therein.

Please use this thread to contribute your ideas for chapters and to
get guidence on deliverables/timeframe etc.

Nancy: We have to make sure the federal government becomes an ally and
not an impediment in the development of government social media. We
need someone to advocate, not control. Federal "guidance" can destroy
creativity and initiative. Social media is experimental and trying new
ways to better serve the public. Rules and guidance are necessary but
so is latitude and willingness to try new approaches.

Best, Len Sipes.

I'm not sure how far he is into it, but Don Tapscott mentioned (in
February) he was writing a book on Government 2.0, along with his
Wikinomics co-author Anthony Williams. It might be worth touching
base.

They interviewed me for the book :)

This wouldn't be a competitive thing to that. More like a handy guide
from the attendees on what transpired and what to think about.

That is good to know. I'm linked into Anthony Williams. I wonder if
they would be willing to write a forward for our publication? It
would be smart to align ourselves with their efforts.

Good share!
