contract is intended to provide quick response to building demolition,
repairs, renovations, and minor construction situations. Tasks may
include, but are not limited to, construction relative to site work,
utility replacement, pavement replacement and repair, building
construction, renovations, landscaping, instrumentation, and mechanical
systems. The work may involve replacement in kind, renovation, repairs
and modification construction. Incidental to construction, it may include
project design; testing, survey and abatement for lead based paint,
asbestos containing materials, and/or undergound storage tanks.
Government facility repairs, renovations, and minor construction shall
conform to the requirements of the technical criteria furnished with
individual task orders. Work will primarily by for U.S. Army Reserve
Centers (USARCs)within the Corps of Engineers North Atlantic Division,
(i.e., Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island,
Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and
Virginia); and may be used as well for other projects within the Norfolk
District mission area. All designs for USARCs must be in the current
version of Microstation and the contractor must be trained in the Modular
Design System (MDS). Design for non-USARC projects may be delivered in
MDS or conventional design as determined by the government. The maximum
contract obligation is for $10 million per year for the base year and
each of four option years. The maximum size of task orders is anticipated
to be approximately $1 million. Proposals will be evaluated on (1)
Management Proposal; (2) Experience; (3) Quality Control Plan; and (4)
Price. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS.
SIC Code 1542 applies. Prospective contractors must be registered in the
DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a
contract. Information on registration and annual confirmation
requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the
Internet at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. Lack of registration in the CCR
database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Solicitation
documents will be available on or about 04/06/99, on CD-ROM only, for the
non-refundable amount of $12.50, from Defense Automated Printing Service
(DAPS), 1641 Morris Street, Norfolk, VA 23511. DAPS will accept check
and money orders, payable to U.S. Treasury, as payment. Solicitation
