Annual Symposium Announcement The Tidewater Government & Industry
Council, Old Dominion University, and the Tidewater Association of
Service Contractors announce their ninth annual symposium. The symposium
entitled "2001: A Contracting Odyssey: Changing Responsibilities and
Accountabilities" will be held at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in
Norfolk, VA on November 2, 2000. The Symposium topics will include
Political Landscape, Financial Realities, Organizational Challenges,
Public/Private Partnerships, and a Panel -- Information
Technology/E-Commerce. The confirmed speakers include: Congressman Owen
Pickett, Mr. Charles Nemfakos, Mr. Stan Soloway, Mr. Joseph Cipriano, and
Virginia's Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Barry Du Val. The Panel, moderated
by Ms. Barbara Ciara, include Mr. Joseph Cipriano, Mr. Kevin Coleman,
Mr. Charles Nemfakos, and Mr. Gene Newman. The panelists will address The
