On the Google Calender, when creating a calendar event there is a field for
description under event details. Is there any way to add a description when
using the quick add method in the browser as well as command line tool?

I was about to request/suggest the same thing. This would be invaluable.
The other thing would be inviting guests, but that's a seperate
request. :-)
