I've discovered the perfect compromise for those that prefer the
google-reader style layout with it's full-screen widgets and those of
use that absolutely hate it.

Simply put link in the upper-right hand corner that switches between
the reader stle view (for those that like it) and classic layout, with

Using Firefox 3.0.5 with Windows Vista Ultimate.

When I first launch the browser, the new iGoogle layout is cutoff on
the left so that I can't see the tabs on the left or the first bit of
my iGoogle widget boxes on that side. After visiting other web pages

I don't understand why no option either, Plazzmex. The Google!Evil
People have been ignoring our pleas for just that very thing for a
couple of months now. Hopefully, that link will continue to work, or
I'll be tempted to just dump them altogether. I have a very simple
page: one tab and no gadgets.

Goggle I'm annoyed that you added "chat" with out asking, to me that
sends
up a red flag and now I don't trust you.....

I will remove IGoogle if I can't Opt out of Chat,.........

Paul - thanks for much for the reply. This seems like a small issue,
but really it's quite irritating. I have tried to make the chat tab
smaller, but it insists on staying expanded down the left side of the
page, and wont retain any settings I enter. I love this iGoogle site
- it's so helpful -- but I really want to get rid of this chat tab. I

Who is logging me out? I keep losing my personalized home page. What

This tab problem has been talked about for some time now and what I
can see is that Google must find that very amusing.
If there has been no comment from the developers or Google itself

Misery loves company! I too am having problems with my iGoogle home
page -- I'm unable to add/change or do anything to get a theme to
appear. I've spent hours trying to find help and am as frustrated as
you are.

Have you gotten any answer?

cause i still wanted the new functionality when the emails are opened
in fullscreen for example..
