Subject: the new homepage set up
I'm with thousands of other people on not liking the new design.  As
with everyone else, I think the left tab navigation is a waste of
space.

Additionally:   1) I used to be able to hover over a headline in order
to read a snippet.  Now I'm stuck with a permanently present snippet
for everything :(  2) I've always checked my email accounts from my
homepage. I prefer keeping the tabs closed.  Expanding them is now
kind of a pain in the butt.

What I'm really bummed about is the impact these changes are going to
have on my grandpa.  I have finally convinced him to use the iGoogle
homepage I set up for him.  When he sees the sudden changes, he may
give up.  Not your guys' problem, but. . . lame.

Isn't there some way we could opt out of these changes?  (accessing my
homepage from the Canada and UK site is only a super temporary fix, as
it flips back after I check my mail or calendar)

Thanks
dena

I'm with you on this one--I really dislike the new design. But what
has been bothering me most about it is that I have my google homepage
set as my homepage for the internet, but every time I click on the
home button, it loads my google homepage for a split second then
displays only my gmail. I have no idea how to fix this, and I've been
working through my preferences for at least an hour. It's super
annoying, and the old design was far more user-friendly.
