I am getting "The request failed with HTTP status 502: Bad Gateway"
from sporadically to all the time and then sporadically again.
Now when I navigate directly to http://api.google.com/ I get the
standard
'Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your
request.
Please try again in 30 seconds'

Any one else getting this behavior?

yep I just posted about it in another thread, I thought it was just me.
but if api.google.com is down, looks like a lot of scripts are gonna
break... other sites I know of that use the api for the search feature
are also failing right now.

yea I saw your post, naturally after I posted,
I was wandering if I have made too may request today but I don't think
that would be the error returned by the api.. Looks as though the api
server may be overwhelmed??

Yup getting it here.. seems to be hit or miss though. Sometimes it
work, more often it doesn't.

I just hacked in some code to Sleep for a configurable number of
seconds before retrying.

My question now is more along the lines of "How many of my 1000 daily
queries am I being charged for 502 Bad Gateway responses?".

Same problem here running in Perl using SOAP::Lite. It's been getting
progressively worse since New Year's. I hope it's fixed soon.

snap using vb.net - everything ok up until january 1 and from then on
the error counts have been steadily increasing daily. i have even tried
placing a 60 second gap between queries to no avail.

is anyone else having the same trouble and has anyone come up with a
fix?

thanks,
janine.
