HI, I set up a search box on my website with that API key I got when I
signed up. A friend wants to take over the website and i need to
change it from my API key to his... how do I do this?

Wow, you set up Goo API services on a site and aren't smart enough to
figure out this one? That really says a lot for the ease of using the
APIs.

1. Have the new owner obtain his own api developer account and key.
2. Replace all instances of the old key with the new key on your web
pages.
