Non-lenient Date Parsing?

Does anyone know of a non-lenient date parser that I can use in my
client side code?
FYI lenient means that a date of 01/32/2008 will be accepted and
translated to 02/01/2008.
We are looking to avoid this situation.

Without Calendar I haven't been able to come up with anything.
