Subject: ie8 and spacing....

GWT 1.7...

I have an app which works fine in IE7 and Firefox 3. But in IE 8, none
of the spacing ( vertical/horizontal panel ) is being recognized. Any
thing special I need to set/do ?

Thanks

Try to set up as little of this as possible in GWT/Java and do as much as
possible in CSS.  Browsers have CSS quirks...GWT won't help with that.  This
tool is very helpful for working out IE css issues:

But when GWT provides a api method like "setSpacing" and it is cross-
browser and works in most browsers, we atleast would like to know why
IE 8 alone acts strange - maybe it is a fix to gwt generated code...

Subject: External libs in GWT app
I have two questions regarding Google plugin for eclipse - ive set up
my GWT project ...

1.Where i should put libraries i want to be present in WEB-INF/lib ?
if i put them in /war/WEB-INF/lib they get deleted with each compile -
when i put them in user libraries - they dont get copied to WEB-INF/
lib

2. how do i generate WAR from eclipse's GWT plugin ?

thx in advance.

Hi Jacek,

1)  war/WEB-INF/lib is the correct place.  Could you describe when your JARs
in there get deleted?  Is it on any build (including Eclipse's incremental
build) or only when you clean and do a full build?
2)  There isn't a UI for this, so most people do a GWT compile and JAR up
the war directory.
