I'm getting crazy with this example:
http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=55200&topic=10454

I created a new project and try to change the configurations. I
compiled and I get the files to the local web server (they can be
loaded by a browser, I tested). So I'm seeing the original web page,
but the button isn't appearing, so probably the JavaScript isn't
working correctly.

My system is:
OS: Windows XP Professional
Webserver: Apache over Cygwin (the apache is running CGI and deploying
pages, tested)
IDE: eclipse

I'm believing that my configuration is wrong in the Eclipse or in the
Scripts.

So can someone help me with a Step by Step way to mount this. If
possible with examples (one good example can be better then 1000
words).

Please be patient, I'm starting with the net know.

Really thanks

I just went through exactly the same problem, see:

http://www.screaming-penguin.com/node/4500

basically, one additional step is needed, add file hosted.html to the
{tomcat_home}/webapp/com.package.Module directory.
This is in gwt-user.jar in /com/google/gwt/core/public.

Hi Frohman,

Thanks for helping Marcos out with the missing bit in the FAQ documentation. There was in fact missing a step about copying the hosted.html file to the web server, as well as copying the history.html file. The document has been updated for future reference so that no one else runs into the same problem.

" How do I use my own server in hosted mode instead of GWT's built-in Tomcat instance?" FAQ:
http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=55200&topic=10454

Thanks,
