Standards mode requirement for GWT 2.0

Does DockLayoutPanel and SplitLayoutPanel require the page to be in
standards mode? Does this also apply to the RootLayoutPanel?

AFAICT this applies to all the "LayoutPanel"s.

That's correct: the new layout system does require standards mode.  See http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/doc/latest/DevGuideUiPanels.html#Standards
