Python Robot Cron jobs

I think there was an email about this earlier, however I don't think he
got an answer.

The bot I am writing is going to need to update waves with outside
information on a regular basis. This I am assuming would be done through
the cron facility. How does this work with Python? As there is no
capabilities.xml file involved, how do I tell the robot to update?

In the robot object there is a method, def RegisterCronJob(self, path, seconds):
