chart.setSelection() doesn't bold annotations

Normally when you click on a data point within a chart, the point is selected with some additional decoration.  In the case of annotations, the annotation label gets bold typeface.  When "setSelection()" is called, there is no change to the annotation's appearance.

Is there some additional method to tweak to make "setSelection()" work the same as actually clicking on a point?
