profiler showing 31 calls to Array.sort on loading of timeline...why?

I'd like to optimize the load time of the annotatedtimeline and the
Array.sort call is taking too long. What is this call doing? Is
there a way to optimize or address this issue?

What is the data table and the options you provide, and on which browser you tested it (and how)?
