You may have noticed that we have been a bit less active on the group than
we normally are and than we'd like to be.
This was not without its good reasons.
Today, we have announced<http://google-code-updates.blogspot.com/2008/11/introducing-powerful-...>our
documented wire protocol, something you have been asking for and
something we have hinting we will do for quite a while. This also includes a
full Python library<http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/dev/gviz_api_...>as
an example and to get the Python developers from the community started
even faster.
Beyond what we've been blogging about, we have also
- Revamped our development documentation to hopefully make it easier, more
comprehensible and faster to get started with;
- We have added select events for many more of the Google charts (see
example here<http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/barch...>
);
- And many more small bug fixes and features.
We're excited about the possibilities we have openned up for you with the
documented wire protocol and looking forward to seeing many Google
Visualization data sources from the community.
Happy coding,
The Visualization Team
