Many charts still not working in IE8?

I just tried Barchart in IE8. All interactivity seems to be gone.

this seems to be a general GViz problem... can someone of the developers
give us more information on this issue?

We used for chartle.net a fix for IE8 which changes the doctype so
everything works. I believe I forwarded this solution to the gviz
devs.

They didn't get back to me yet so I guess IE8 is still an issue and
changing the doctype the only fix at least I know of.

another quick workaround I found is to force your site to run in IE7
mode by adding:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" >
in your html <head> tag
