It seems every week someone finds a translation that offends their
nationalistic sensibilities. I find it highly unlikely that Google is
engaged in a conspiracy against Irish, Turks, Slovenians, set-top box
manufacturers or all the other people that have been "victimised" by
weird translations. That people are engaging in a war of submitting

I don't think that 'kids auto-translating their homework' is a reason
for not doing it.

They could do that today with other languages.

Anyway, most teachers will automatically spot machine translations,
and possibly some will already be using Google translate to catch the
lazy and stupid.

I agree that Latin would be useful.
But which Latin ?
Classical Latin ? Medieval Latin ? Church Latin ? Medical/
pharmaceutical/plant Latin ?

Apart from that, it would be useful to lots of people; medical people,
patients, family historians, vicars, and all those like me who learned
Latin at school but have since forgotten most of it.

How Long does it take to implement translation suggestions ?

Is there a human involved in the process, or is it automatic ?

I use Google translate for translating texts in unfamiliar languages,
as well as for formulating family history queries in far-flung foreign
climes - my ancestors seem to have moved around a lot.

I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense - because statistically, it
would never be used in the same context as Save the Queen. The British
National Anthem is "God Save the Queen" - and not even "Save the
Queen".

If you look at Das Deutschlandlied - "The Song of Germany", it
translates just fine. So why exactly would the Irish national anthem,

It would be useful and funny (I think of kids auto-translating their
Latin homework).
The problem with Latin is, anyway, that words can mean a lot of
different things (just like in English)...

1)Images cannot be translated, as far as I know.
2)The iframe can't be removed, I think.
You can either use Google's Ajax API (with a limit of n words) or just
Google Translator+ this JS (maybe this violates Google's TOS):
