Google Translate with secure pages

I've been using the Google Translate API on my site with great
results, except when it comes to secure pages.

Is there any plan in the future to offer a secure connection for
Google Translate, as there is with Google Maps? I would be willing to
pay a subscription fee, given that the registration pages are all

I'm using a bookmarklet to send the selected text to the translator
via '#en|es|...'
This works if the text is unescaped (i.e. accented characters are
placed in the URL) but fails if they have been converted to their

Statistical translation, this is the sort of errors it makes. See, you
Irish tend to use the phrase "Amhrán na BhFiann" in similar places
that English speakers use "God Save the Queen". The translator only
sees statistical patterns, so it thinks it means the same thing (in a
sense it does, since it can mean "the national anthem of my country").

the three languages was the last option selected.

The Irish national anthem "Amhrán na BhFiann", which is directly
translated as "The Soldier's Song" - is listed on google translate as
"Save the Queen". Despite me and others submitting numerous
corrections on this for over a week, it has yet to be corrected.

I cannot translate this page automatically in firefox 3.5.6. It works
in Int.Exploder.

In my website there is English text and images (jpg) containing
english texts.
Using google translate, the web site automatically renders the page in
the desired language.

1. can google translate also change jpg images having English texts to

In the "Translate Text" section, could you make the preferences of the
target language the one where the IP is from?
I mean, if the IP is from Brazil, so the target language automatically
changes to Portuguese.
Every time I have to change the language from africanian to
portuguese...

But the last changes, with AJAX, you did were amazing.

We need a solution to turn off the goofy translator bar from the
server side.
My pages are constantly and mistakenly identified as Italian or
sometimes Dutch.
Of course this makes the toolbar on the top of the page show up. I can
turn it off
on my PC, but I want to turn it off for all my English speaking

I am not a lawyer, priest, or scientist, by a long stretch I may be
considered a philosopher, but I think a Latin translation service
would be useful to almost any educated person.
