running unit tests from the command line

Has anyone been able to get the GTM unit tests to run successfully from the command line? If so, what needs to be done? I haven't been able to get them to run using the GTM_USE_TEST_AFTER_BUILD=1 and TEST_AFTER_BUILD=YES flags.
