Hello

I was wondering if anyone can tell me which version of python is most
frequently used in open source projects. I am in the process of
learning python and I don't know if i should focus on version 2 or 3.

Thanks

What everyone means (I guess) is that you should focus on learning Python 2.7 or newer. What I definitely would recommend you is to give both, 2.x and 3.x a try for the simple reason that both are actively used in various projects.
The differences in the language are not that fundamental, so that moving from 2.x to 3.x is not that complex.

Cheers

Yes. True.  You can start with python 2.7 and then migrate to 3.x anyway in near future. That won't be hard at all.

Best thing for python 2.7 is that it works effortlessly in every environment and integrates further starter features of 3.0 as well.So go for it
