Private Mentors Mailing List Update

Hello everyone,

Everyone who has been accepted as a mentor in the web app should now
be subscribed to the private mentors mailing list.[0] Now is an
absolutely fantastic time to check to make sure your subscription
preferences to the list are set appropriately.

Failure to turn in student evaluations or otherwise keep abreast of
program news and announcements because you did not receive an email
sent to the list is neither a useful nor valid excuse. Be kind,
update your subscription preferences and keep abreast of the
happenings.

If you are a mentor for Summer of Code 2008 and you are not subscribed
to this mailing list, it could be for a few reasons.

1) Your organization administrator has not yet accepted your
application to act as a mentor for your organization. Be a dear and
remind her to do so.[1]

2) You applied for membership on the list instead of waiting for the
promised mass add. It is entirely possible that in the process of
manually verifying 150+ add requests that I inadvertently rejected
your legitimate request to join the list. If that's the case, please
email me off-list with the name of your organization and the email
address to be used when adding you to the list.

I am still trying to catch up on email so it may take a day or two for
me to subscribe you to the list. If you have already emailed me or
gs...@google.com I am going to assume that your subscription request
was taken care of; if that's not the case, please see the instructions
in #2, above.
